SN TT League Round 1 - Results

The hotly anticipated South Norfolk Time Trial League kicked off this week, with a bumper field of 21 riders ride taking on the first of twelve events in warm but breezy conditions.

The league is designed to breed some inter-club competition and boost rider numbers with different categories for Men, Women, standard road bikes and different speed levels creating races within the race so everyone has a hot at victory.

Chris Holmes of Velo Club Norwich took the Division 1 win in style with a near 30mph average and a 44second buffer ahead of Dan Blackburn of Epic Orange with times of 20:49 and 21:33 respectively. CCB’s Tom Carroll rounded out the podium with a time of 21:59 but had hoped for more but was suffering with heavy legs on the return stretch.

Carl Mace of Velouse Flyers took the win in Division 2 with a time of 24:18, narrowly pipping David Collier of Ride Harder and Tri Harder’s Andrew Skiggs with times of 24:29 and 24:37 respectively.

Geoff Frost of Team Velo Velocity was the only road bike rider, but finished with a very respectable time of 25:04 and Hazel Brain of Tri Harder is sure to hit her season target of breaking 30minutes with her time of 32:20.
